Day 1! DC Bound!

First day and we already feel miles away from everyday life. On our way through GA and south carolina, I talked about steakhouse advertising so much that we ended up pulling into a LongHorn for lunch - awesome as usual. Then back in the car where we struggled for miles to not fall asleep from our heavy lunch. Finally we stopped at a mcdonald's for coffee; it had to have been the nicest mcdonald's we've ever seen - kudos to middle of no where north carolina for that. In route to richmond we got intermingled with what had to be a 300 bike charity ride, which was cool at first buit after an hour of trying not to hit a motorcycle or the cars in front of us, we were pretty happy to say good bye to the iron calvary.

Richmond was absolutely increible. So many old factories, great architecture, and lots of people around. We ate at the capital ale house, a restaurant in a 108 year old building downtown. We branched out and took the server's recs on beer to go with the german entrees we orderedm we even manned up and drank stout with dessert.

So now we're back on the road heading towards dc. Can't wait to fall into the comfy bed we have waiting!
